What is the Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub?

The Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub (GOAH) is an initiative funded by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP).

Delivered by Bioenterprise Canada, GOAH’s primary goal is to support the Grow Ontario Strategy and advance innovative agricultural solutions and technologies to market, thereby enhancing competitiveness and creating new opportunities within Ontario’s agri-food sector.

What is the Grow Ontario Strategy?

The Grow Ontario Strategy is a comprehensive plan developed by the Government of Ontario, and focuses on three key priorities:

  1. Strengthening Agri-food Supply Chain Stability: Aiming to increase both the consumption and production of food grown and prepared in Ontario by 30%, boost the province’s food and beverage manufacturing GDP by 10%, and enhance agri-food exports by 8% annually by 2032
  2. Increasing Agri-food Technology and Adoption: Promoting the uptake of new technologies and practices to improve efficiency and competitiveness within the sector; and
  3. Attracting and Growing Ontario’s Agri-food Talent: Expanding the workforce by increasing employment in the agri-food sector by 10% by 2032 and raising awareness of modern, high-tech career opportunities.
